I'm a software engineer in New York. Born and raised in Virginia, I studied computer science at the University of Virginia and moved to NYC in 2018, where I've been chasing my passions for tech, finance and music ever since.

Today I'm a Technical Lead at Meta on Brand Ads, leading Reservation Ads (Reach & Frequency) and a few new cutting-edge ads products (to be announced), and building server-side software for the company's ads infrastructure. Before that I worked on AWS Firewall and Route 53 at Amazon, was a senior engineer at Lyft, and led engineering teams at IBM, with clients across advertising, rideshare, investing, retail banking, travel tech and AI.

I focus on backend and distributed systems: microservices, cloud architecture, orchestration and API design, with some React on the front end.

Outside work I try to earn the title of Renaissance man: DJ and producer, bodybuilder, NAUI & PADI licensed scuba diver, USPA licensed skydiver, derivatives trader, blogger and Lean FIRE mentor.
